Monday

Breakfast: Oatmeal/steel-cut oats/multigrain hot cereal with blueberries and brown sugar

Lunch:  Split Pea & Mushroom Soup served with Brown Jasmine Rice

Dinner: Roasted Veggies with Hains Brown Gravy and canned corn

Snack: Banana, apple, rice cakes

Beverages: Water & Unsweetened Herb Tea

 

Tuesday

Breakfast: Oatmeal/steel-cut oats/multigrain hot cereal with blueberries and brown sugar

Lunch:  Split Pea & Mushroom Soup served with Brown Jasmine Rice

Wednesday

Dinner: Mashed Potatoes and Succotash

Snack: Banana, apple, rice cakes

Beverages: Water & Unsweetened Herb Tea

 

Thursday = Thanksgiving Day

Brunch: Apple Crisp and Zen Tea.

Holiday Feast meal: Veggie soup and homemade whole wheat bread with all fruit strawberry preserves.

Evening Snack: Leftover soup & bread.

Beverages: Water & Unsweetened Herb Tea

 

Friday

Breakfast: Oatmeal/steel-cut oats/multigrain hot cereal with blueberries and brown sugar

Lunch:  Butter Bean and Corn Chowder Served with Boiled Fingerling Potatoes

Dinner:  Butter Bean and Corn Chowder Served with Boiled Fingerling Potatoes

Snack: Banana, apple, rice cakes

Beverages: Water & Unsweetened Herb Tea

 

Saturday

Breakfast: Oatmeal/steel-cut oats/multigrain hot cereal with blueberries and brown sugar

Lunch: Baked Beans, Baked Sweet Potatoes, canned Corn

Dinner:  Baked Beans, Baked Sweet Potatoes, canned Hominy

Snack: Banana, apple, rice cakes

Beverages: Water & Unsweetened Herb Tea

 

 

Sunday

Breakfast: Oatmeal/steel-cut oats/multigrain hot cereal with blueberries and brown sugar

Lunch: Baked Beans, Oven Fries, canned Hominy

Dinner: Baked Beans, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes

Snack: Banana, apple, rice cakes

Beverages: Water & Herb Tea

Grocery List

 

3 onions

10 lbs potatoes

1 turnip or rutabaga

1 green bell pepper

4 baking type apples

½ lb cremini mushrooms

 

1 can creamed corn

4 cans whole corn

1 can butter beans

1 can seasoned diced tomatoes (Mexican)

1 cup tomato sauce

 

Grape nuts cereal smallest (3/4 cup for recipe)

Small real maple syrup (1/2 cup for recipe)

Small apple juice (2/3 cup for recipe)

 

Cardamom

Molasses

Brown sugar

 

1 bag frozen baby lima beans

 

Note: this is my actual grocery list for the week and only reflects what I need to prepare the menu items.  I already have many of the needed ingredients.
